It’s been awhile since the first round of shark pancakes, so here’s another batch.

Life's too short for round pancakes
An homage to “Drawing Hands” by M.C. Escher.

My kids invented the “monster machine” for creating cool drawing ideas. We put it to use making pancakes and animated the results.

A few of our favorite Dr. Seuss pancakes: Fox in Socks, Green Eggs and Ham, The Cat in the Hat, and The Lorax. The kids wanted to make 500 hats for Bartholomew Cubbins – maybe next year.

I came across Rosa Parks’ pancake recipe when a lot of her papers were released last year: https://www.loc.gov/item/mss859430324/
It works well for cooking up a likeness of MLK too.

This savory pancake recipe is nice with some sauteed onions. I made it for the Crab Festival in Port Angeles and topped it with lump crab meat and butter.
